Bernard is Nigerian qualified and has experience working in Nigeria, where he regularly advised commercial lenders and development finance institutions, borrowers and project developers on energy and infrastructure projects and banking and finance transactions. 

• Advising an infrastructure development fund on the financing of hostel development projects across multiple universities in Nigeria.
• Advising the lenders on the financing of a petroleum product trading company for the expansion of its retail outlet footprint in Nigeria.
• Advising the borrower and its parents on the financing for the acquisition of a major oil and gas asset in Nigeria.
• Advising a power project developer on the financing of its pool of power projects, including battery energy storage systems and gas peaking plants.
