Experience

Advising Beechbrook Capital on its Unitranche facility for the acquisition of the Access Fertility Group.

Advising GCP Infrastructure Investments Limited on Eden’s ground-breaking geothermal project that sees Eden Geothermal Limited announce £16.8m funding, secured from a mixture of public and private sources, to drill the first well for their pioneering geothermal heat and power project.

Advising HSBC and Bank Leumi in relation to £125 million facility to Audley Retirement.

Advising NIBC on its financing of the acquisition by ServerFarm, an operator and developer of data centres backed by Nant Capital, of the 5Nines Global Holdings group.

Advised FTI Consulting, as joint administrators, on the sale of Cote Restaurants to Partners Group.

Advising MetLife on the debt funding provided for the refinance of two office properties in prime locations in Jersey’s financial district with a total value of over £131 million.

Advising Alt HAN Co on its smart metering programme.

Advised the Group and subsequently Administrators from FRP Advisory on a restructuring including the trading administration of aerospace composite manufacturer, Tods Aerospace, resulting in the sale of part of the business to Cobham.

Acting for DRC Capital on a £13 million facility to fund Pier 7, Salford Quays, a site earmarked for residential development.

Advising the Obligors in connection with the £398m PFI financing of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and the £214m PFI financing of the Pinderfields General Hospital and Pontefract General Infirmary in Mid Yorkshire.

Advising Kreos Capital on debt facilities for VC-backed neobanks Monese and Bnext.

Advising HSBC in relation to investment and development facilities to luxury hotel group, Harbour Hotels.

Acting for an international tobacco group on a range of derivative matters in relation to ISDA Master Agreements and Schedules, Spot FX umbrella trading arrangements and netting and collateral arrangements.

Advised BDO LLP, as joint administrators, on the administration of Bathstore.com Limited, including the sale of the business to Homebase Rooms Limited.

Acting for an investor on its £15 million Islamic finance murabaha facility, including Shariah-compliant hedging.

Advising a UK clearing bank on the legal and regulatory impact of migrating 26,000 customers within the recoveries function to a new database, and auditing the team’s processes to identify areas of potential regulatory risk.
