Roshni Varsani Associate

Roshni is an associate in the construction and engineering team. She specialises in non-contentious construction and engineering matters with a particular focus on renewable energy work. 

Roshni has experience of advising on and drafting project specific construction documentation on renewable energy projects. Roshni has experience of a range of renewable energy technologies including biomass, thermal, battery storage and solar. Her clients include a wide range of stakeholders including funders/investors and developers.

Prior to joining Burges Salmon, Roshni was a lawyer at an international law firm where she had a specific interest in renewable energy projects.
 

• Advising a fund on the acquisition of battery storage projects in the UK, including negotiating EPC contracts.
• Due diligence of project documents in respect of the acquisition and funding of clean energy projects.
• Advising a renewable energy investment firm on the acquisition of a UK battery storage project as part of a joint venture.
• Acting for a developer of a 40MW biomass power plant in relation to the EPC and O&M contracts.
• Assisting in the drafting and updating of a suite of template construction documents for an energy sector client.
• Drafting and negotiating bespoke onshore and offshore crossing agreements for a utility sector client.
