Overview

With the UK committed to reducing its carbon emissions, renewable energy has never been more important. Our renewable energy lawyers understand the financial, policy and regulatory challenges facing our clients and are experienced in driving renewable energy projects to completion.

We have over 20 years’ experience in the sector and are widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading firms in renewable energy law. We have built a reputation on innovative, first-of-a-kind work – from power trading agreements to what is set to become the world’s largest tidal energy project.

Our renewable energy lawyers understand the key technologies at the heart of renewable energy projects. Our advice covers technologies including onshore wind, offshore wind, floating wind, solar, wave and tidal, geothermal, small hydro, anaerobic digestion, gasification, pyrolysis and electricity storage and, increasingly, electric vehicles and sustainable energy services.

Through our activity in the sector’s key strategy groups – such as RenewableUK, REA, Scottish Renewables – we help to shape the future of renewable energy in the UK and provide our clients with insight into the wider challenges they face.
