About
Alex is a trainee solicitor currently split between the Employment and Pensions and Lifetime Savings teams. He joined our expanding Edinburgh office as part of its third trainee cohort in September 2025 and previously completed seats in Construction and Engineering and Real Estate.
Prior to joining Burges Salmon, Alex studied a joint undergraduate degree in Scots Law and Economics at the University of Glasgow from 2019 to 2023. He went on to complete the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice in 2025.
Between his undergraduate and postgraduate studies, Alex gained professional and commercial experience working as an Economist in Local Government, focusing on Economic development in Scotland.
