Our collaborative culture supports you as you build both professional and personal skills, with guidance from people across the firm who want you to succeed.

An apprenticeship gives you real insight into a career and helps you develop valuable, transferable skills — from commercial awareness to confidence and initiative.

As a member of the legal sector Trailblazer group, we helped shape national apprenticeship standards and were among the first firms to offer paralegal and solicitor apprenticeships.

With high‑quality training, competitive starting salaries and the chance to learn from experts, you can build a strong foundation for your future at Burges Salmon.

Business apprenticeships

Alongside our legal apprenticeships, we’ve also welcomed apprentices into our Finance, Marketing, Project Management and IT teams in our Bristol office. Our business apprenticeships typically last between two and four years and offer the chance to build real experience, with opportunities to continue working with us once your programme ends.

Unlike the legal route, the level and structure of our business apprenticeships vary by department, with some teams offering integrated degree apprenticeships. Sign up below to receive the latest updates on new business professional opportunities.

Diversity & inclusion

We are a Disability Confident Leader via government accreditation, which means we have tested and strengthened our recruitment and people processes, to ensure that our employment opportunities are inclusive and welcoming to people with disabilities or long-term health conditions.

We utilise Rare Contextual across all our recruitment processes to contextualise candidates’ success in comparison to their background and socio-economic position.

Our Resourcing team facilitates adjustments to our recruitment processes for any candidates who require them, so we can offer equitable experiences. We also have support from a disability specialist organisation to ensure we follow best practice.
