Accounts Assistant

If you are looking to build your accounting experience within a supportive team, then this is the ideal opportunity for you to join our Finance team. 

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Accounts Payable team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role will be well‑suited to someone who enjoys working with invoices and financial data and takes pride in getting the detail right. 

You'll work closely with colleagues in Finance and will be supported as you build confidence in the role. Over time, there is scope to expand into other Accounts tasks once you're fully settled. 

What you'll be doing 

Your day‑to‑day work will include: 

  • Checking invoices for accuracy and ensuring the correct approvals are in place
  • Manually inputting invoices into the firm's practice management system
  • Handling invoice and supplier queries in a professional and timely way
  • Supporting the smooth running of purchase ledger processes within the team 

What we are looking for 

We're keen to hear from candidates who: 

  • Have purchase ledger experience
  • Are comfortable with manual, detail‑heavy tasks and maintaining accuracy across high volumes
  • Have strong attention to detail, resilience, and a willingness to focus and process consistently
  • Are organised, reliable and able to manage repetitive tasks to a high standard 

Once established in the role, there will be opportunities to support additional Accounts activities.
