About
Kate is a solicitor in the Pensions and Lifetime Savings team. She trained at Burges Salmon and qualified in September 2026. Before this, she studied at the University of Bristol and graduated with a degree in Law (LLB). She then completed the LLM Legal Practice (SQE1&2) at the University of Law, also in Bristol.
Kate advises on a broad range of pensions matters for both defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) schemes. Her experience includes advising trustees and employers on scheme governance, benefit design and amendments, risk transfer projects, and the legal and regulatory issues affecting occupational pension schemes.
Experience
- Advising the Trustee of the Honda Group UK Pension Scheme through an £800m buy-in with L&G.
- Supporting risk transfer projects, including buy-ins, buy-outs and scheme wind-ups.
- Advising trustees and sponsoring employers on a broad range of day-to-day pensions matters affecting both DB and DC schemes.
- Supporting projects relating to GMP equalisation, benefit rectification exercises and scheme data reviews.
