Covid-19: extension to testing

Passle image

In an important development for employers, the government announced yesterday that it was extending testing so that any worker who cannot work from home who develops symptoms of coronavirus can now be tested to see if they are infected. This should enable those who test negative to resume duties more quickly as the target for sending test results back is 48 hours. Currently self-isolation provisions require people in this position to self-isolate for 7days.
