Second Hydrogen Allocation Round- deadlines approaching

The application window for the second allocation round for the Hydrogen Production Business Model opened at the end of last year.  This is the UK Government revenue support mechanism for  green hydrogen.  To participate a Project must have submitted an expression of interest by 5th February 2024 so there is not long.   

DESNZ has already mentioned that it expects to see reductions in cost for the production of green hydrogen through the allocation round which may be ambitious given the successful projects in HAR1 have only just found out and are yet to be built.

DESNZ also want to see scale projects in HAR2 and beyond.

One critical piece of learning from HAR1 is to make the offtake for the hydrogen as integrated into the application as possible.
