Finance

From forecasting to producing client reports, our Finance teams are central to the smooth-running of our firm. Wherever you join them, you’ll help drive our business forward – and we’ll give you all the support you need to build an incredible career.

  • Central Finance – Responsibilities include performance measurement, procurement support, reporting, financial accounting, budgeting and forecasting and general management of the firm’s finances. The team provides analysis and proactive advice and gives professional support in finance and procurement for partners and budget holders.
  • Accounts and Open File Management – Among other things, the team is responsible for the opening of client files, the firm’s purchase ledger and expense payments together with a range of accounts services.
  • Revenue Control – The team manages the revenue cycle, ensuring the credit we give clients is appropriate and that the working capital on a matter is controlled. This involves liaising with partners, fee earners and clients as well as analysing payment trends and responding to queries from both clients and lawyers.
  • Billing – The billing team assists with the billing cycle, ensuring client and legal requirements are met. The team also produces client reports and assists lawyers and secretaries with a range of billing related queries.
  • Archives – The archives team is responsible for all aspects of storing and retrieving client files and assets such as deeds and wills.

Operational Services

From large scale document production to providing state of the art video conferencing – it’s down to our Operational Services teams to ensure our business runs as efficiently as possible.   • Legal Support – This is the largest team in the group and has a wide and varying range of responsibilities including internal and external mail and fax and courier services as well as a full reprographic service. The team also manages the purchase and supply of all stationery.
  • Front of house – This team provides a key service to our clients and visitors, including managing meeting rooms, taxi bookings and co-ordination of client car parking facilities.
  • Switchboard – Our team of four handles between 700 and 900 incoming calls each day.
  • Facilities – Our facilities team provides a range of services which optimise the day to day running of the business including security & reception work, cleaning, maintenance, space planning, office moves, helpdesk, landlord liaison and building administration.

Knowledge and Information Services

From news tracking to producing business intelligence reports, it’s down to our Knowledge and Information Services team to keep our legal teams up to date with legal, regulatory and market developments.
