Cyber risk is an increasingly important governance issue for trustee boards and sole corporate trustee schemes. Cyber Risk Unlocked: Professional Trustees Peer Forum, is an in-person breakfast session hosted at our London office on 21 January (8:30–10:30), developed specifically for professional trustees and delivered in collaboration with FTI.

With places limited to just 30 attendees, the forum will provide an opportunity for open, peer-to-peer discussion and practical learning on cyber risk and data protection.

Cyber risk is a live governance issue across trustee boards and sole corporate trustee schemes. This session is built to help professional trustees:

  • Build practical cyber risk knowledge and strategies that are applicable across different scheme and governance models.
  • Share experiences and approaches in a collaborative, peer-driven environment, with discussion designed to feel safe and anonymous to enable openness.
  • Take insights back into your organisation – supporting a multiplier effect as learning is shared internally and applied across schemes.

A key differentiator is the interactive, table-top scenario element – designed to move beyond a lecture format and into real-world problem-solving with peers.

Time for peer-to-peer networking and informal discussion on arrival, over breakfast.

  • Welcome and introduction, including an overview of the event purpose and the unique value for professional trustees.
  • A practical cyber incident simulation, facilitated by FTI and Burges Salmon.
  • Small group breakout discussions followed by feedback and knowledge sharing.
