If you're in S4 - S6  and looking to gain work experience, our Bright Sparks Work Experience Programme is for you.

Spend a week at Burges Salmon exploring different careers, meeting professionals, developing key workplace skills and discovering where your future could take you.

What? One week's unpaid work experience (lunch is provided and travel expense support available)

When? 7 - 11 June 2027

Where? Burges Salmon, Atria One, Morrison Street, Edinburgh, EH3 8EX

Please note that candidates should live within approximately an hour's commute of the Edinburgh office.

What will you do?

As part of our commitment to providing fair access to work experience opportunities, Bright Sparks gives students the chance to experience the professional world first-hand.

Throughout the week, you'll:

Grow with us by building confidence and developing skills such as CV writing, interviews, communication and teamwork.

Create lasting impact by learning how legal and business professionals help clients solve important challenges and make a difference.

Make every voice heard by meeting people from a range of backgrounds and taking part in interactive workshops where everyone's ideas matter.

Own it, together by working with other students on team challenges and seeing how collaboration helps achieve great results.

You'll also learn about a variety of careers across the firm, including:

• Legal teams
• Finance
• Marketing
• IT
• Corporate Responsibility
• Client Support and Operations

Whether you're already interested in law or simply exploring your options, this programme will help you gain valuable experience, develop new skills and learn more about the world of work.
