We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our Financial Reporting team within our Finance function at Burges Salmon. 

The role offers the opportunity for someone to combine strong technical accounting, value adding business partnering, continuous improvement and key stakeholder management within a leading law firm.

What you'll be part of 

Our Financial Reporting team plays a central role in delivering robust financial control, high quality management information and statutory reporting. You'll work closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider firm, helping to drive efficiency and clarity in our financial processes.

What you will be doing

  • Deliver monthly management and departmental accounts to senior stakeholders
  • Provide insightful variance analysis and financial commentary
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to budget holders and business leaders
  • Support statutory accounts and audit processes across the LLP and its subsidiaries
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and make assessments on capitalisation
  • Support the firm's budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Identify and drive process improvements across finance reporting

What we need from you

  • Exam qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with typically around 1–3 years' post qualification experience in a relevant role.
  • The confidence to influence and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Technically confident with UK accounting standards (FRS102)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint skills
  • Collaborative, proactive and curious in approach
  • Experience withing legal or professional services environments (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Aderant Expert (desirable)
