Independent UK law firm Burges Salmon has advised a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) in relation to the sale of its portfolio of 33 UK Marriott International hotels to a joint venture between KKR and The Baupost Group.
Partners Rupert Weston and Richard Read led Burges Salmon’s multi-disciplinary team.
The 6,500 key portfolio consists of 33 full-service UK properties branded as Marriott and Delta by Marriott in London and prime regional cities including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds and Liverpool.
