The Corporate team from independent UK law firm Burges Salmon has advised leading UK-based Solar PV and Battery Storage developer Integrum Renewable Energy Ltd on an investment by Omnes, which is a leading private equity firm dedicated to energy transition and innovation.

Integrum Renewable Energy has an existing pipeline of 2GW of utility-scale solar, battery energy storage systems and co-located hybrid projects, and as a result of this transaction, Omnes has taken a majority stake in Integrum through its Capenergie 5 fund, which is its latest renewable energy private equity fund.

Omnes plans to deploy £150 million of equity as part of the investment which is poised to serve as a catalyst for Integrum Renewable Energy's continued advancement in the UK renewable energy landscape. With this strategic partnership, Integrum Renewable Energy is well-equipped to deliver innovative and environmentally sustainable solutions for a greener energy.

Led by a highly experienced management team, Integrum Renewable Energy is committed to becoming a fully integrated Renewable Independent Power Producer (IPP) platform with a target operational portfolio of 1GW+ and a multi-GW pipeline within the next 4-6 years. It initially operated as a subsidiary of Integrum Power Engineering Ltd, a NERS accredited Independent Connection Provider and design and build electrical engineering contractor specialising in HV power transmission, distribution, and generation projects.

Integrum Renewable Energy remains dedicated to its mission of delivering sustainable and innovative energy solutions to address the country’s growing demand for clean power. This transaction allows Integrum Renewable Energy to leverage the support and expertise of Omnes to drive its growth and make an impact in the UK's renewable energy landscape

The Burges Salmon team advising Integrum Renewable comprised partner Jonathan Eves, senior associate Briony Barber and solicitors Elena Kaltsas-Walker and Aaron Lee, all from the firm’s Corporate Group.

Philip Price, Chief Executive Officer of Integrum Renewable Energy, says: “Tackling climate change through acceleration of the clean energy transition remains one of the most important challenges of our generation. Integrum Renewable Energy is proud to contribute to addressing this challenge through expansion of solar generation capacity alongside energy storage.

“Our partnership with Omnes will enable us to meet and exceed our targets, making an even more meaningful impact on the energy generation landscape, and we are grateful to the Burges Salmon team for their expert advice and for adroitly steering us through this transaction to make that happen.”

Jonathan Eves adds: “We are very pleased to have advised the Integrum team on this important partnership, which will go a long way in enabling it to become a significant player in the field of solar PV and battery energy storage systems in the UK market.”
