It has been announced today that Charlotte Whitaker, who is a partner in Burges Salmon’s Dispute Resolution department, has been named in the 2024 Hot 100 list, published by the UK legal sector publication, The Lawyer.
The Lawyer Hot 100, which is published annually every January, recognises the most daring, innovative and creative lawyers from in-house, private practice and the Bar.
A partner since May 2023, Charlotte specialises in high-profile, sensitive, and complex health and safety regulatory investigations, inquests and public inquiries. Charlotte has particular expertise in guiding clients through the immediate aftermath of health and safety incidents as well as regulatory compliance issues. She is also the lead solicitor on the modules for the UK Covid-19 Inquiry into the Welsh Government’s response and the Care Sector.
With over 13 years’ experience, Charlotte has dealt with high-profile and complex inquests, investigations, and public inquiries which happen under significant public scrutiny. She is known for her empathetic style and people focused approach whilst guiding clients through what are often difficult and challenging times. She is supported by Burges Salmon's extensive Dispute Resolution practice, which has a track record in handling high-profile cases with cross-border and multi-sector expertise.
Charlotte is a qualified Legal Project Manager and uses innovative tools such as HighQ and iManage Share to keep clients updated and informed on multiple complex work streams.
