Overview

Imogen qualified into the Pensions team and joined Burges Salmon in September 2023, having previously trained elsewhere in Bristol. She studied Psychology at the University of Bath which included a placement year working for the National Crime Agency. She also completed her GDL and LPC LLM at the University of Law in Bristol.

Imogen advises pension scheme trustees and companies on a broad range of pensions legal issues, including:

  • projects such as buy-ins/outs;
  • pension administration agreements;
  • pension schemes’ ESG requirements; and
  • day-to-day running of pension schemes, including advising on the interpretation of scheme documentation, member queries, scheme governance and the exercise of trustee discretions.

Imogen is a Magistrate in the Bath and Bristol Courts alongside her role, as well as a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers and the Bristol Junior Lawyers Division.
