Overview

Mark is a partner in the firm's corporate finance team and head of its private equity team.

Mark focuses on private equity and venture capital transactions. He has significant experience advising institutions, management and investee companies on buy-outs, buy-ins, development capital transactions, re-financings and exits.

Mark also advises public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, fundraisings and joint ventures as well as general corporate advice.

Experience
  • Advising digital wealth management platform provider Embark on a series of acquisitions, institutional investment rounds and on a £390m exit to Lloyds.
  • Advising the founders of lounge and café bar chain Loungers on an investment by, and partial exit to, Piper Private Equity and subsequently on the £137m partial exit to Lion Capital.
  • Advising LDC on its investment in the UK’s leading low-speed traffic management service provider Amberon and advising LDC and management on the subsequent sale to H2 Equity Partners.
  • Advising Fern Trading and Octopus Investments on the acquisitions by Fern of alternative network provider Jurassic Fibre Limited and established Openreach Communications provider Swiss Fibre, along with associated long-term funding agreements with a cumulative value of up to £475 million. 
  • Advising ITM Power PLC, the energy storage and clean fuel company, on a £60 million strategic partnership with Vitol Holdings SARL for wholly owned subsidiary ITM Motive Limited, trading as Motive, to become a 50/50 joint-venture owned between ITM Power and Vitol.
