Penny is a senior associate in the firm’s real estate disputes team. She works with her colleagues to help clients arrive at the right solution to their issue, minimising impact and maximising success. Penny is supported by our extensive dispute resolution practice with a proven track record in the highest-profile cases and cross-border, multi-sector expertise. 
 
Penny advises clients on a wide range of contentious real estate issues and has considerable experience dealing with lease interpretation issues, end of lease and termination issues, dilapidations, rent reviews as well as multi-party development and construction disputes and rights of light issues.
 
Experience
  • Advising a large city developer on rights to light issues on a major redevelopment of an office building in the City of London;
  • Acting for a major UK asset manager in adjudication proceedings against a sub-contractor in respect of a breach of contract claim for failure to comply with repairing obligations across a portfolio of over 300 government occupied properties;
  • Acting for a global professional services firm in high court proceedings against the main and sub-contractors responsible for the redevelopment of their London headquarters in connection with widespread defects to the fit out of their premises; and
  • Advising a large institutional landlord on the obtaining of interim injunctions against protestors involved in the anti-fracking movement.
