Sian is a partner in the dispute resolution team specialising in:

  • product liability, defective products and product recalls
  • partnership disputes.

Sian heads our food and drink team and provides specialist advice to all areas of the food supply chain. Her clients include food and drink manufacturers and processors, food business operatives, distributors and retailers, primary producers, agricultural land owners and tenants and agri-businesses.

Sian has extensive experience of arbitration, mediation, adjudication and High Court proceedings.

Sian is a member of the European Food Lawyers Network, the Agricultural Law Association, the British Institute of Agricultural Consultants and the Association of Partnership Practitioners. Sian is editor for Halsbury’s Laws of England on Agricultural Production and Marketing.

  • Advising Coca-Cola Hellenic on product liability and contamination issues and multi-jurisdictional supply contract disputes.
  • Advising a premium soft drinks manufacturer on product labelling, safety and product liability issues in the UK and EU markets.
  • Acting for a specialist food manufacturer on food labelling, nutritional claims and allergens.
  • Advising a major UK retailer on product liability and safety issues and on food regulation, contamination and enforcement.
  • Advising a US based manufacturer of respiratory equipment on issues relating to defective product and product liability claims, issues arising from distributorship agreements and licensing arrangements.
  • Acting on a high value farming partnership dispute, including advising on complex issues relating to land ownership, agricultural tenancies, trusts and succession.
  • Acting for The Crown Estate on land and tenancy disputes and risk issues.
