Overview

Tim specialises in corporate advice, mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions across a number of sectors with a focus on education, hotels, leisure and tourism and technology.

Tim has been advising institutions, founders and management on complex exit processes and acquisitions for more than ten years and therefore understands the priorities and concerns from both sides of a transaction. He works with a range of individuals and both private and public companies and institutions on UK and cross-border deals and also advises overseas investors investing in the UK.

Tim is a member of the firm's international and corporate responsibility sub-committees.

  • Advising the selling shareholders of Bristol based Pukka Herbs, the maker of organic herbal teas and supplements, on the sale of the business to Unilever.
  • Advising founders and management on the sale of EPM, a leading provider of HR and Payroll services to the education sector, to Citation.
  • Advising ECI Partners and management on their sale of rhubarb, a luxury catering group with contracts including the Goodwood Estate, the Royal Albert Hall and the Sky Garden in the City’s Walkie Talkie tower.
  • Advising Bath based Play Sports Network Limited on a series of venture capital investments to raise funds to allow the company to develop its rapidly growing youtube sports channel offering.
  • Advising specialist fund manager Bridges Ventures on the sale of vocational training provider Babington Group to RJD Partners and its investment in leading children's residential care provider New Reflexions.
  • Advising the outgoing founders, Sovereign Capital Partners and managers of the business on the sale of Lifetime Training, one of the UK's leading training providers.
  • Advising Singapore listed YTL Hotels on a number of cross-border hotel acquisitions.
  • Advising Darwin Property Investment Management on the acquisition of a number of holiday parks across the UK
  • Advising First Group plc, a nationwide bus operations disposal program for an aggregate value in excess of £100 million.
  • Advising the shareholders of Bristol based True Clarity on its acquisition by Valtech, a global digital agency focused on business transformation.
