Abi trained at Burges Salmon and is now a solicitor in the firm’s Real Estate Disputes team.
She acts for clients across all sectors on contentious and risk management issues relating to their real estate portfolios. Her experience includes acting for commercial landlords and tenants, developers, institutional landowners, central and local government and utility companies.
Abi acts on various property disputes, including lease renewals, dilapidations, forfeiture, tenant debt and insolvency, access disputes and service charge disputes. Alongside her colleagues in the Real Estate Disputes team, she provides commercial, strategic advice in relation to potential disputes, and has experience in both complex litigation and arbitration.
Abi is a member of the Property Litigation Association.
Experience
- A large corporate tenant: Successfully settling a High Court dispute with the landlord relating to the repair and maintenance of the heating and cooling systems in the building.
- Places for London Limited: Providing ongoing multi-disciplinary support in respect of contentious and risk management issues across its property portfolio.
- South West Water Limited: Providing advice in relation to the protection of various property rights and potential threats to key infrastructure and real estate assets.
- A nationwide retail occupier: Providing ongoing strategic, commercial, dispute resolution and asset management advice on all aspects of its property portfolio.
- A large government body: Providing multi-disciplinary support in respect of contentious and risk management issues across both its commercial and residential property portfolios.
