About
Alisha joined Burges Salmon in October 2025 as an associate in the Projects team.
She advises public and private sector clients on procurement and commercial matters, drawing on experience in public sector advisory work, including commercial contracts and PFI/PPP projects.
Before moving to private practice, Alisha held legal and policy roles in public bodies and local authorities.
Experience
- Central Government: Advising on a broad range of procurement matters on high value and complex public contracts in a number of sectors including research & education, technology and IT systems.
- Central Government: Advising on a procurement for a cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning and Software as a Service system, including preparing and negotiating the contractual documentation.
- Local Authority: Advising on a procurement for a full fibre Gigabit network project, this involved advising on the full procurement cycle (from developing the procurement and contractual documentation through to contract award).
- Local Authority: Producing and negotiating key documentation including Project Agreements and construction documents for large and complex PFI and PPP projects in the education and health care sectors.
- Blue light: Advising a policing body (including undertaking due diligence and reviewing commercial agreements and licenses) on the transfer of a high security IT system.
