Amelia trained at Burges Salmon and qualified as a solicitor into the Banking and Finance team in August 2023.
She has experience advising on a range of transactions within the real estate finance, corporate finance and project finance practice areas. She regularly acts for a broad range of commercial clients including lenders, borrowers, and sponsors.
Amelia also has experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating documents. She is proficient in running CPs in complex transactions and regularly works alongside real estate, construction and corporate specialists to ensure seamless transaction management.
Experience
- FirstGroup plc: Advising a longstanding client on two connected net-zero projects relating to the investment into, and deployment of, up to 1,000 electric buses with a combined value of approximately £200 million to decarbonise its bus fleet.
- CORE Portfolio Investments Limited: Advised CORE Portfolio Investments Limited as Borrower and a number of other Community Owned Renewable Energy entities on the issue of £27.5 million of index-linked loan notes to finance a portfolio of solar assets.
- CORE Taurus Limited: Advised on the £11.7 million junior financing of Community Energy Together Limited by Big Society Capital Limited and PTC Renewable Energy Ltd to finance eight solar farms previously acquired by community businesses.
- DRC Savills: Advising DRC Savills on the refinancing of a Spanish purpose-built student accommodation asset.
- A bank: Advising a bank on a £60 million facility to a high-profile real estate investment firm to acquire a prime mixed use office and retail scheme.
