Amy is a senior associate in the firm’s dispute resolution team. She helps clients to resolve disputes in a commercial and cost-efficient manner through settlement, alternative dispute resolution and court litigation.

She acts for both claimants and defendants and has conducted litigation (including group litigation) in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court, as well as the County Court.

She has also managed disputes in an arbitration setting (international, domestic and ad hoc) and through mediation.

Amy has worked on a variety of legal disputes for a range of UK and international clients, including:

  • Professional negligence disputes
  • Pensions disputes
  • Contractual and commercial disputes
  • Transport disputes
  • Technology disputes
  • Debt claims
  • Company and shareholder disputes

She also undertakes contract and case reviews and advises clients on the merits of their contractual position pre-action, working to achieve settlements where appropriate.

  • Representing pension scheme employers and trustee claimants in several multi-million pound professional negligence claims against former actuarial, investment and legal advisers.
  • Acting for a government company in a dispute concerning the correct contractual interpretation of a concession agreement.
  • Supporting a train operating company through an access dispute adjudication.
  • Acting in various contract and commercial disputes governed by the LCIA rules, ICC rules and ad hoc arbitration agreements, ranging in value from £2 million to £50 million.
  • Advising a major UK supermarket in respect of appealing of fines issued by the Competition and Markets Authority.
  • Representing one of several defendants in a group claim by approximately 600 individuals, concerning allegations of conspiracy, breaches of data protection legislation, the misuse of private information and defamation claims.
  • Advising and defending major surveying and valuation companies in professional negligence claims concerning the overvaluation of properties.
  • Acting for a multinational professional services firm in a high value technology dispute with one of its customers concerning a contract for the implementation of a software solution.
