About
Ben is a trainee solicitor in Burges Salmon’s Commercial & Technology team. He advises on a broad range of commercial contracts, technology transactions, data protection and cyber security matters, as well as intellectual property.
Ben also has in-house legal experience, having completed a secondment with EDF’s Nuclear New Build team, where he supported the delivery of high-value NEC and FIDIC construction contracts, alongside a range of commercial licensing and supply agreements. He also has experience in the firm’s Corporate M&A and Banking and Finance teams, advising on private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, group reorganisations, business disposals, and the financing of energy and real estate projects.
In addition to his transactional experience, Ben has sat in Burges Salmon’s Disputes team, where he assisted on complex commercial litigation matters across the transportation and industrials sectors, with particular exposure to the aviation industry. Prior to joining Burges Salmon, Ben gained contentious legal experience assisting King’s Counsel in Crown Court proceedings.
Beyond his legal practice, he has contributed to a range of community and charitable initiatives, including helping to coordinate fundraising activities through the firm’s charity committee.
