Chris joined Burges Salmon in 1986 and was a partner for 32 years. He is now a Consultant. Chris has handled more than 40 IPOs and two hundred M&A deals and has advised many of the firm’s most significant clients. He now advises solely on complex or niche transactions/situations, especially in the realm of financial services, asset management and complex limited partnerships/LLPs.

  • Advising Premier Asset Management Group PLC on its IPO.
  • Advising the unitholders of AUB Student Accommodation Fund on the £271 million sale of this Guernsey unit trust to Unite.
  • Advising Cobham plc on the acquisition of Axel Wireless (a leading global provider of distributed antennae systems) for £85 million.
  • Advising Falcon Property Trust on its amalgamation with Legal & General's Industrial Property Investment Fund, the deal value being in excess of £100 million.
  • Advising the management of A-Gas of the £70 million tertiary buy-out of the company by LDC.
  • Advising AcenciA Debt Strategies Limited (an Official List closed-ended investment fund incorporated in Guernsey) in connection with its tender offer proposals and extension of life, including a Rule 9 whitewash.
