Overview

David is an associate in the firm’s dispute resolution team and has broad experience acting for commercial clients in the following sectors:

  • Financial Services;
  • Insurance;
  • Energy; and
  • Transport

David’s experience includes High Court and Court of Appeal proceedings, as well as alternative forms of dispute resolution including arbitration and mediation.

David has a particular interest in data analytics and e-discovery and assists the team in setting up large-scale disclosure exercises. He also has commercial in-house experience, having spent four months working in the legal team at accountancy firm BDO UK LLP.

Experience
  • Acting for Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) on its PPI and SIPP projects.
  • Acting for FSCS as a representative creditor in the Court of Appeal case relating to the MF Global UK Company Voluntary Arrangement.
  • Acting for Transport for Wales on the vertically-integrated £5 billion franchise of the Wales and Border Rail Services and South Wales metro.
  • Advising a large energy company in an ad hoc arbitration relating to an oil pipeline.
  • Advising a train operating company on varying rolling stock works agreements; and
  • Advising a major national retailer on defending claims from vexatious claimants.
