Eve is an associate in the Dispute Resolution team with a focus on commercial and financial disputes. Her wide range of experience includes advising corporates, ultra-high net worth individuals and government clients in the High Court, Magistrates’ Court and Court of Appeal, often with a multi-jurisdictional dimension.
She has particular experience advising in relation to:
- Civil fraud
- Applications for injunctive relief
- Claims for breach of contract
- Company and shareholder disputes
- Unfair prejudice petitions
- Breach of director duties
Eve completed an in-house secondment at a law enforcement agency in 2021, and she is a member of the Young Fraud Lawyers Association.
Experience
- Claimant: Acting for a Claimant in successfully obtaining a form of injunctive relief and in doing so setting legal history by relying on previously untested law in England & Wales.
- Claimant: Acting for a Claimant in successfully defending a challenge to a freezing order in respect of a large portfolio of assets.
- Ultra-high net worth individual: Advising in relation to a multi-jurisdictional worldwide freezing order which involved conducting a disclosure review at the client’s offices in Dubai.
- Claimants: Acting for claimants in a breach of contract claim and its subsequent challenge in the Court of Appeal, where the successful damages award was upheld.
- Founding minority shareholder: Advising on a pre-action dispute and unfair prejudice petition under section 994 of the Companies Act 2006 with the directors of a start-up company.
- £10 million claim: Advising in relation to a £10 million claim for breach of fiduciary duties, undue influence and fraud and a related freezing injunction.
