Fahmida attended the University of Aberdeen from 2019-2023, studying an undergraduate degree in Scots Law with English Law. She participated in an international exchange programme, completing part of her third year at the University of Florida.
During her studies, she volunteered for The Aberdeen Law Project, a pro bono student-led legal clinic, providing legal advice, research and community outreach programmes in Aberdeen. Whilst volunteering here, Fahmida led the Prisons’ Project, which was subsequently shortlisted for the 2023 LawWorks and Attorney General’s Student Pro Bono Awards.
From 2023-2024, Fahmida completed her diploma in professional legal practice (DPLP), graduating with merit from the University of Glasgow. In September 2024, she joined the firm, as part of the second cohort of trainees to be based in our Edinburgh office. She is currently based in our Real Estate team.
Since joining the firm, Fahmida has participated in many of the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, including the mentoring programme in partnership with Lasswade High School.
Experience
- Commercial property transactions: Advising on a range of commercial property transactions including the drafting of leases and licences for works.
- Drafting: Reviewing and drafting of complex Certificate of Titles for renewable energy projects.
- Energy research: Researching for energy and strategic land related advice.
