About
Fergus joined our Dispute Resolution team in 2025, following the successful completion of his training contract at an international firm based in London. Fergus specialises in aviation disputes and regulatory advice. He has experience working on multi-million pound claims contested in the High Court in London and has acted for some of the world’s largest airlines.
To supplement the experience he has gained in aviation disputes, Fergus spent six months seconded to an international law firm in Singapore where he worked on aircraft financing transactions representing low-cost carriers in the region.
Experience
- Competition claim: acted for a European airline in the English High Court who were defending a claim of anti-competitive behaviour by an online travel agent.
- Aircraft financing: advised a low-cost carrier in South East Asia on the sale and leaseback of multiple Airbus aircraft.
- Tortious claim: represented an airline claiming a statutory breach of duty against a provider of air traffic services.
- Aircraft leasing and re-delivery claim: acted for a lessor bringing a claim against the parent company of an airline following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
