About

Genna is an associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution team. She advises on high value and complex commercial disputes, including company and shareholder disputes, contractual disputes and contentious trust disputes.

She has experience advising a wide range of clients, including directors, shareholders, corporates and public bodies, and considerable experience advising clients through all phases of High Court litigation and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation.

Experience

  • Griffiths v Griffiths and Ors: Acting for a director and shareholder (as Petitioner), in multi-million pound unfair prejudice petitions, relating to the Petitioner’s exclusion from participation in the management of the companies.
  • Company directors: Advising company directors in their personal capacity, as defendants in multi-million pound High Court proceedings involving allegations of unlawful means conspiracy and dishonest assistance of an employee’s breach of fiduciary duties.
  • International beneficiary of a trust: Representing the international beneficiary of a trust, in a multi-million pound claim for dishonest breach of trust against a Swiss professional trustee company.
  • Havant Biogas Limited and Ors v GEMA: Acting for four SPVs in high value proceedings for just satisfaction, following Ofgem’s wrongful refusal to register the Claimants for an energy subsidy scheme.
  • Multiple national transport companies: Advising in relation to a dispute with a global ticketing company, regarding breaches of their international sales licence.
  • Government department: Advising in relation to the defence of judicial review proceedings regarding the award of a multi-million-pound public contract.
