About

Harry joined Burges Salmon in September 2023, and is now a third year apprentice solicitor set to qualify via the SQE in September 2029. He has recently joined the firms Dispute Resolution team for a year long seat. Prior to starting in the Dispute Resolution team, Harry has spent time in the firms Real Estate, and Planning & Compulsory Purchase departments. In this period, he has been involved in several high value, complex transactions spanning across the firms Built Environment sector.

In addition to this, Harry is also a member of the BCultured, and BEnabled groups at the firm focusing on promoting and enhancing ethnic diversity, disability inclusion and social mobility within the legal sector. Harry also collaborates closely with key stakeholders such as the Social Mobility Business Partnership, and Social Mobility Foundation where he regularly attends external events and conferences promoting social mobility, and Burges Salmon’s outreach programmes.

Experience

  • Indurent: Assisting on several industrial development transactions throughout the UK.
  • St Modwen: Assisting with multiple large scale mixed-use development transactions, including its key partnership with Homes England.
  • Tritax Big Box REIT: Assisting on several property, logistics, and asset management transactions across the UK spanning both the Real Estate and Planning & Compulsory Purchase teams.
  • Defence infrastructure organisation: Assisting with multiple transactions as part of the Major Projects Disposals Programme and coordinating any client onboarding requirements.
  • Biodiversity requirements: Advising and assisting with the drafting of legal agreements required to enable the sale of nitrate credits to developers for nutrient neutrality purposes.
  • The Environment Agency: Advising and assisting on the Environment Agency (Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme) Compulsory Purchase Order 2023, enabling more than 5 kilometres of flood alleviation measures in Oxford.
