Overview

Helen qualified into the Pensions team in September 2019, having spent a year working in the team during her training. She studied English at the University of Exeter, and her GDL and LPC Msc at the University of Law.

Helen advises pension scheme trustees and companies on a broad range of pensions legal issues, including:

  • projects such as mergers, PIE exercises, bulk transfers and buy-ins/outs and
  • day-to-day running of pension schemes, including advising on the interpretation of scheme documentation, member queries, scheme governance and the exercise of trustee discretions

Helen enjoys writing legal update articles and has been published in the Pensions Blue Book and by LexisNexis. She is a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers, the Women in Pensions network and the Bristol Actuarial Society.
