About

Helena moved into the Responsible Business team as the diversity and inclusion manager in October 2024 after six years of working in learning and development at Burges Salmon. Before that, Helena was the careers manager at The University of Law in Bristol, where she played a pivotal role in guiding students towards successful legal careers.

Helena’s career began as a dispute resolution lawyer, qualifying in Manchester in 2005. This legal foundation has provided Helena with the problem-solving abilities to address complex diversity and inclusion challenges, find innovative solutions and implement effective action plans.

As the diversity and inclusion manager, Helena leads the diversity task force, made up of senior people from across the firm, focusing on developing actionable plans to achieve the firm’s diversity and inclusion objectives. She works closely with the firm’s people-led networks to raise awareness, advocate for positive change on various issues, and engage with external groups and networks.

She is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected, and is committed to driving meaningful change within the firm and the wider community.
