About
Henry attended the University of Edinburgh from 2017-2021, reading an undergraduate degree in Law. During this time, he volunteered at the Edinburgh International Justice Initiative, an initiative working to ensure justice for victims of international crimes. Alongside this, he also volunteered at 180 Degrees Consulting, one of the largest not-for-profit consultancy firms.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Henry completed an LLM at the University of Queensland in tandem with the GDL and worked in the in-house legal department at Tritium, one of the world’s leading EV fast charger manufacturers. In August 2023, he joined the firm as a trainee solicitor.
Henry has held seats in Pensions & Lifetime Savings, Competition, and has undertaken a secondment to the firm’s Innovation & Client Services team. He is currently based in our Construction & Engineering team and maintains a broad practice specialising in contentious work. Alongside his practice, Henry is a member of the Free Representation Unit, and conducts pro-bono advocacy on behalf of applicants to the social entitlements tribunal. He also assists in providing pro-bono legal advice on behalf of the East Greenwich Legal Advice Centre.
Experience
- Construction disputes: Assisting with the management of complex construction disputes proceeding to adjudication and litigation, specifically those involving FIDIC, JCT and NEC3 standard form contracts.
- NSIA applications: Drafting NSIA applications on behalf of both the buy and sell-side in large corporate transactions, addressing national security concerns to ensure compliance.
- Merger control: Conducting multi-jurisdictional merger control analyses for complex cross-border M&A deals.
- AI tools: Reviewing and testing bespoke legal AI tools including Luminance, Jigsaw and others to assess their suitability for wider application within the firm.
- Pro-bono: Conducting pro-bono advocacy on behalf of applicants to the social entitlements tribunal.
