About

Hercules qualified into the Pensions and Lifetime Savings team in October 2023 after training at another firm based in Bristol. He studied Law at Kings College London, and completed his LPC at BPP in Bristol. Before training to be a lawyer he worked for the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Advising pension scheme trustees and companies on a broad range of pensions legal issues and regulation, he also assists on the work the team does for SIPP and SSAS providers, advising on product development, documentation and compliance.

Since joining the team, he has also spent around 9 months on secondment to the FSCS’ General Counsel team, working on a significant Special Administration under the IBSAR rules, and assisting on several emerging issues investigations into new failures.

Experience

  • SIPP provider: Assisting a SIPP provider with their responses to complaints regarding introducer due diligence.
  • Trustees: Advising trustees of a scheme in respect of employer insolvency.
  • Schemes: Advising schemes on cyber security and data protection considerations.
