Hilary is a partner in our Corporate Tax team. She advises on a broad range of corporate tax matters and has particular expertise in corporate and financing transactions, reorganisations and group tax advice.
Hilary advises the full range of clients, from large public and private multinational and domestic groups to funds and family owned businesses, across a number of sectors. Much of her work has an international element.
Hilary is recognised by Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500. She is an active member of the City of London Law Society’s Revenue Law Committee and sits on the Consulting Editorial Board for Lexis+ UK Tax. She is also a member of the International Bar Association.
Hilary has written for The Tax Journal and a number of other tax and industry publications.

- Corporate groups, private equity funds and founders: advising on mergers and acquisitions across all key sectors.
- Shareholders of Regency Purchasing Group: advising on the sale of RPG to Foodbuy.
- Virgin Group: advising on the acquisition of the group’s new London headquarters, Whitfield Studios.
- Lenders and borrowers: advising on a wide range of debt financing transactions, including facility agreements, bond issuances and structured finance arrangements.
- Group tax advice: advising on reorganisations, restructurings and a range of domestic and cross-border issues including corporate residence, permanent establishments, financing arrangements, withholding taxes and employment tax issues.
- A range of clients: advising on tax enquiries and disclosures.
