Jacob attended the University of Bristol from 2017-2020, studying an undergraduate degree in Law. In 2018, he volunteered as a teacher in China, which included assisting on a business development programme with other camps across East China.
Prior to joining Burges Salmon, he worked as a paralegal in transactional real estate. Jacob spent the majority of his time on the hotel sector, being the previous firm’s designated paralegal for one of the UK’s largest hotel chains.
He has worked in our Real Estate, Projects, Corporate Finance, and Construction and Engineering teams.
Jacob has also spent time volunteering on our mentoring scheme with the St Mary Redcliffe and Temple Sixth Form.
Experience
- Renewable energy company: Advising on a multi-stage structural reorganisation.
- Reviewing laws: Reviewing and advising on the laws that would apply to a domestic device entering the UK market.
- Commercial property transactions: Advising on a range of commercial property transactions, including leases, deeds of variation, and various licences.
- Energy projects: Assisting on the development of two large battery energy storage projects.
