Jess is a solicitor in the Dispute Resolution team, having trained and qualified with the firm in September 2023. Her practice straddles regulatory enforcement, health and safety and corporate disputes.
She has a range of experience, advising on regulatory crime and civil fraud with a particular interest in Part 8 Claims and Freezing Orders, as well as health and safety investigations and incident response advice. She also advises on commercial and finance disputes, including professional negligence and partnership disputes.
Jess is a member of the Young Fraud Lawyers Association.
Experience
- Rockpool Investments: Acting for Rockpool Investments in complex linked Part 7 and unfair prejudice proceedings relating to an alleged dishonest scheme to dilute the capital interests of various classes of investor members.
- Investment fund: Advising an investment fund in relation to a high-value negligence claim against commercial real estate agents.
- Energy sector client: Providing incident response and on-going advice to an energy sector client in relation to a corporate manslaughter investigation by the police and a health and safety investigation by the HSE following a multi-fatality incident.
- Competent Authority investigation: Advising in relation to a Competent Authority investigation including advising on internal investigations and strategic engagement with the Competent Authority.
- Waste sector client: Advising a leading company in the waste sector, in connection with a criminal investigation by the Environment Agency (EA), including a judicial review of the EA’s use of allegedly unlawful enforcement action.
