With 16 years’ finance experience within the legal sector including a 12-year tenure at Burges Salmon, Jon is part of the firm’s senior finance leadership team. He leads the Finance Systems team, focusing on automating and enhancing financial processes. He ensures finance systems are understood, fit for purpose, have a clear roadmap and support the firm’s strategic goals.
Jon was elected as a Board Member of the Aderant Expert User Community (AEUC) on 1 July 2021 for a three-year term, ending on 30 June 2024. During his tenure, he served as the EMEA director, where he represented Aderant’s legal User Group across the region. Prior to joining Burges Salmon, he spent four years in a leadership role at a regional law firm.
Experience
- Operational finance: Jon previously led the firm’s Operational Finance teams before advancing to specialise in financial systems and projects related to system upgrades, implementations, and other finance-related technology initiatives.
- Aderant implementation: Part of the team responsible for implementing Aderant as the firm’s practice management system in 2014.
- Intapp implementation: Oversaw the implementation of InTapp Intake and Conflicts, as well as a project to upgrade the Aderant practice management system.
