About

Laura joined Burges Salmon as a trainee solicitor in September 2025 and is currently in the Real Estate team.

While completing a Law degree at The University of Edinburgh, Laura achieved the Green’s Prize for the best overall second year Law performance and the Herbert Smith Prize for the best overall second year Law performance preceding an exchange year.

During her studies, Laura was a member of the EY Foundation’s first Youth Advisory Board and nominated as a Committee Member. Laura was also Head of Distribution for The Student Newspaper, achieving the Student Publication Association’s Outstanding Commitment Award (Scotland, Regional Awards) and shortlisted for the Edinburgh University Students’ Association’s Student Community Award.

In 2025 Laura completed the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh.
