About

Lauren is an associate specialising in pensions trusts. She qualified into the Pensions team in September 2020 and has since been advising both pension scheme trustees and employers on a broad range of legal issues. Her expertise includes the day-to-day running of pension schemes, including the interpretation of scheme documentation, member queries, scheme governance and the exercise of trustee and employer discretions. She has also worked on projects related to pension scheme mergers, GMP equalisation, pensions tax, buy-ins/outs.

She studied Law with German at the University of Birmingham and Universität Bayreuth, followed by an LPC MSc at the University of Law. She is a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers and the Junior Lawyers Division. Notably, Lauren has advised on significant cases in relation to cross-border pensions and tax issues for a multi-billion euro German scheme in the medical sector as well as a multi-billion pound pension scheme merger in the transport sector.
