Maia is an associate in the Commercial and Technology team, specialising in intellectual property and commercial contracts.
She came to Burges Salmon in March 2025 after training at boutique IP firm Brandsmiths and working at brands advisory firm Stobbs.
A background in litigation allows Maia to draw on her knowledge and experience of contentious matters when working on commercial transactions. Maia’s career experience includes working with a diverse range of clients, from sole traders and start-ups to global household brands, across various sectors including retail, publishing, tech and FMCG.
Having undertaken significant in-house secondments at a major British retail brand, Maia has gained invaluable insight into the pressures of large retail organisations. She has also completed a secondment with an international media and publishing organisation. Maia has been commended for her commercially astute and proactive approach.
