Milly joined the Projects team at Burges Salmon in June 2025.

She trained and qualified in Australia and joined from Clayton Utz in Melbourne. She has experience advising a range of public and private clients on defence, social housing, facilities management and disaster recovery projects.

Her experience includes providing regulatory, contractual, public procurement and strategic advice to clients.

Experience

  • Ministry of Defence: Providing contractual and strategic advice on various major projects including the [SSN(A)] submarine programme, AUKUS and global combat ait programme.
  • Global cybersecurity and cloud services provider: Advising a global provider of cybersecurity services on its services arrangements with government customers across EMEA.
  • Home Office: Advising contractual and procurement aspects of its procurement of service providers for various national and international projects.
  • Department of Defence: Advising the Australian government on various major projects including its military disposals program and Asia Pacific infrastructure and facilities maintenance projects.
  • Department of Industry, Science and Resources: Advising DISR on the global open tenders for the procurement of a tow and disposal/recycling contractor for the Northern Endeavour floating storage offloading vessel.
  • Housing Australia and Homes Victoria: Advising the Commonwealth and Victorian governments on social and affordable housing loan and grant programs.
