Natalie trained at Burges Salmon and qualified into the Dispute Resolution team in September 2022. Her regulatory and public law practice spans public inquiries, regulatory crime, regulatory investigations and judicial reviews. As part of her public inquiry experience, Natalie plays a central role as part of the Solicitor to the Inquiry team on the UK Covid-19 Inquiry chaired by Baroness Heather Hallett.
She also has litigation experience (acting for both claimants and defendants) in the High Court and the Court of Appeal. Her litigation practice focuses on contractual and commercial disputes and group actions.
Experience
- Covid-19 Public Inquiry: Solicitor on multiple modules as part of the Solicitor to the Inquiry team on the UK Covid-19 Public Inquiry.
- Health and safety: Advising a corporate steel manufacturer on a HSE investigation into alleged breaches and offences under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
- Judicial review: Representing and advising the defendant in relation to a judicial review claim brought challenging the decision to deny the claimant legal representation funding in a public inquiry.
- AAIB investigation: Advising the injured parties following a helicopter accident.
- Equality Act claims: Representing and advising train operating corporate clients on disability discrimination claims.
- Corporate crime: Advising a corporate client in relation to multi-fatality accidents, including advising on engagement with the police, investigators and regulators.
