Nick is a director in the Banking and Finance team with extensive experience across a broad range of banking and finance mandates, specialising in corporate restructuring and insolvency.

Since qualifying in 2013, Nick has advised a wide range of stakeholders, including lenders, borrowers, investors, directors, regulators and pension trustees, on complex distressed situations across multiple sectors. He regularly supports clients through refinancings, debt and equity restructurings and formal insolvency processes, providing pragmatic and commercially focused advice in challenging circumstances.

Nick is recognised as a Leading Associate by The Legal 500 2026 and as an Associate to Watch by Chambers and Partners 2026.

Experience

  • Rebel Energy: Advising licensed energy supplier Rebel Energy on its role in the Supplier of Last Resort process and its subsequent administration.
  • Willand biogas: Advising the buyer on its acquisition of the operational Willand biogas facility from its joint administrators.
  • Whyte Bikes: Advising Causeway Capital on its acquisition of Whyte Bikes from Cairngorm Capital.
  • Wasps RFC and CBS Arena: Advising FRP Advisory, Wasps RFC and the Coventry Arena companies on the administration of the group, including the sale of the Coventry Building Society Arena and matters relating to Wasps RFC.
  • Amphenol: Advising Amphenol in connection with its acquisition of the business and assets of Trackwise Designs plc (in administration) from its joint administrators.
