About
Nick is a director in the Banking and Finance team. He has extensive experience across a wide range of banking and finance mandates and specialises in corporate restructuring and insolvency.
Since qualifying in 2013, Nick has assisted a number of different stakeholder roles (including lenders, borrowers, investors, directors, regulators and pension trustees) with distressed situations across a variety of sectors. He regularly supports those stakeholders through refinancings, debt and equity restructurings and insolvencies.
Nick was recognised as a ‘Leading associate’ in the Legal 500, 2025.
Experience
- Amphenol: Assisting with its acquisition of the business and assets of Trackwise Designs plc (in administration) from its joint administrators.
- Advising FRP Advisory, Wasps Holdings Limited and the ACL Companies on the administration of the Wasps Holdings Group, including the sale of the Coventry Building Society Arena and matters relating to Wasps RFC.
- PwC: Advising as joint administrators of C4C 2022 Limited, on the administration and sale of Frugi, the children’s clothing retailer.
- Clarks group: Acting on the restructuring of its senior secured revolving credit facility and its senior secured notes in the context of the parallel £100m equity investment by LionRock and the group’s Company Voluntary Arrangement.
- Operational biomass plant project: Supporting the lenders to an operational biomass plant project with detailed contingency and enforcement planning advice, and subsequently advising on the restructuring of that project and the lender’s successful credit bid.
