Nicola is a senior associate in our Real Estate team following her qualification with the firm in September 2017.
She has experience of a range of commercial, infrastructure and strategic land transactions, and has worked for clients in the development, hotels, office, public, telecommunications and transport sectors. Nicola also holds experience in environmental, planning and property disputes matters.
Experience
- Transport for Wales: Assisting with the transfer of the Core Valley Lines, comprising 87 miles of railway track, from Network Rail to TfW in 2020, as part of wider innovative changes to railway infrastructure arrangements in Wales.
- Transport for Wales and Transport for Wales Rail Limited: Helping with the delivery of infrastructure projects (such as the installation of OLE), plus licences, leases, land purchases and bridge agreements, including the purchase of a depot for TfW.
- Project work: Acting in respect of a project involving the Welsh Government, Transport for Wales and Transport for Wales Rail Limited to mobilise the Operator of Last Resort in 2021.
- The Crown Estate: Dealing with a wide range of asset management matters across The Crown Estate’s Rural, Traditional, Strategic and Windsor portfolios.
- ENGIE: Assisting ENGIE with various aspects of its plans to regenerate the land that comprised the former Rugeley Power Station and create a new development of over 2,000 homes.
- Sovereign wealth fund: Assisting a sovereign wealth fund with portfolio refinancing, as well as the asset management of a group of hotels (including leases, licences and telecommunications matters).
