Nikita Goodwill Associate (Australia qualified)

Nikita is an associate within our Banking and Finance team specialising in Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency.  She is Australian qualified and regularly acts for financiers, banks, insolvency practitioners, creditors and debtors. 

She has experience working on a wide range of matters including restructurings, distressed debt transactions, insolvency, enforcement and commercial disputes across various industries including financial services, energy, property, construction and agriculture. 

Nikita has been recognised by Best Lawyers as 'One to Watch' in Australia in 2022 and 2023 for Insolvency and Reorganisation Law. 

• Advised a global construction engineering company in respect of the administration of its joint venture partner and its subsequent sale.
• Acted for the administrators and liquidators of a golf course and hotel group on, amongst other matters, a range of court applications and the sale of its business and assets.
• Assisted an ASX-listed energy infrastructure business in relation to its acquisition of the secured debt of a major energy asset in administration and receivership.
• Advised a major Australian bank in the unsecured recovery of its substantial loan books.
• Advised a lender in relation to their exposure and the enforcement of its secured loans, resulting in appointments of receivers and agents for mortgagee in possession over vessels, real estate and personal property.
• Acted for liquidators of a construction company in relation to voidable transactions and preference claims in Australian courts.
